Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you.
I love the way you smile,
And greet me on Zoom,
I love the way you shimmer,
You remind me of the moon.
I love the way your eyes light up,
When you talk about your work,
I love the way you roll your eyes,
When your cat drives you berserk.
I love to see your passion,
When you talk about your plans,
I love to help you map them out,
Obstacles? – be damned!
I love when you get quiet,
As you lean into what I’ve said,
I love the way we share the tales,
Of what we’ve seen and read.
I love that you’re committed,
To making the world a better place,
It’s such a joy to know you,
And share this Time and Space.
