Dear Reader,
Oh, how I love it when a newsletter falls on a particularly juicy and delicious day!
HAPPY AUTUMNAL / SPRING EQUINOX, Dear Reader!
No matter where you are on this grand planet, I guarantee you that there’s something you’re noticing that signals to you and your body that change is indeed afoot.
Whether it’s the bird song or sound of the wind in the leaves, the smells in the air, the very taste of the sunshine on your skin…there is, no doubt, something that is talking to you about Change: Some wisp of a sentence, some note from a new song…whatever It is, There It is and so, Dear Reader, Here are We.
Here are We – on the precipice of Change. On the literal Day of Turning. We’ve found ourselves United through the ethers and the magic that is Email and why, do you suppose that is, exactly?
As we contemplate All That Is Possible, I find myself pondering just how it is that we’ve found ourselves Here, Together.
I sat among folks from as far away as Switzerland and South Africa last week during a Virtual Tea Party, and as I looked about and listened and chatted with these guests, I had this surreal moment of recognition that I was among Warriors. Magic-Makers. Sages. Wisdom-Keepers.
I feel the same way as I sit to pen you this note. This sense that my words are winging their way to your ears – the ears of The Great Ones, the Seers, the Musicians, the Poets, the Magicians, the Weavers, the Thinkers and the Do-ers, the Tree Spirits, and yes, I see you there, even the Fairy Folk among us.
You are a Magical lot. I feel each of you around me, in Community, and quite frankly it brings tears to my eyes.
How, Dear Reader, did I become so lucky as to be in cahoots with the likes of you?
Stella and I sat down to talk together this week, and we spent some time on this very topic of Cahoot-ing. I expressed my wonderment and amazement over the call we’d had with a client earlier in the day, a man we’ve been delighted to serve over the course of this year. I told Stella that after our call with our client, I actually wept, so deeply did I feel the honour of witnessing him in all his open, raw, beautiful, gutsy, warrior-esque humanness. What a gift!
And we reflected together on some of the Greatness we’ve borne witness to this year – the “coming out” party of one of the most gifted and giving healers we’ve ever met, the stepping in to new work of one of our longest-time clients whom we adore, the grit of a dear friend and colleague facing demons of her own, the vast vulnerability of a client who mustered up the courage to say, “no more,” (to her business, her husband, her life as she knew it.)
The alchemy of this Work – this Work that Stella and I do with the clarity that comes from knowing it is Our Work In The World – in combination with the opportunity to do it with Magical folks such as all of you? That alchemy is Everything. It is powerful beyond measure. Sacred beyond words. And it is the goodness that keeps me squarely on this Path with each and every Turning that presents.
And so, Dear Reader, my thanks to you, for being in Cahoots with me. For making Magic Together, for the gift of your Presence in our Community, and for walking alongside one another as we turn ‘round this next bend.
