Ever planned a trip to an exotic foreign city?

As soon as you book tickets, everyone tells you what you “have to” see and gives you their “must do” lists. You make a list of suggestions. You read the guidebooks. You do the research. And your list gets longer and longer and longer.

You’d been dreaming of quiet side streets and charming encounters. But you end up at places surrounded by tourists and tour buses.

You wanted the authentic adventure, but end up disappointed.

Business can be like this, too. Everyone has an opinion of what you “have to” do to be successful. Or what you “must do”. Over time, those suggestions can appear like the only way. Before you know it, you’re posting to social media at all hours of the day, sending email all the time, or hosting Clubhouse calls, not because you want to… not because you enjoy it… not because it plays to your strengths… but because someone said you should.

What if you got clear about the experience YOU want to have?
How would that change what you show up to do each day?

All this depends on where you are:

If you have too many lists with too many ideas of what to do in your business, considering where you want to end up and the style in which you intend to get there can ruthlessly edit what’s on those lists. Sweet relief!

If things have gotten oddly quiet and you aren’t sure what to do, stepping back and asking yourself where you want to go can spark new ideas.

Let Stella Orange be your guide for this 3-part workshop to give yourself the time and the space to decide what you want, and sort your To Do list accordingly. The adventure of your lifetime could begin right here, when you:

# 1 MEET AT THE AIRPORT LOUNGE

Monday, April 12
12-1pm EDT

We start by gathering at the first-class lounge at the imaginary airport before your flight. If you have your piles of lists or spreadsheets, bring them. If you lost your list with all the changes that have been happening, come as you are. We’ll talk about the process you’re about to be guided through, how to lower the stakes, and ways to take the pressure off so you can feel more relaxed, open, and generative. There will also be time to ask questions and get answers. (Yes, this session will be recorded.)

# 2 TEAR UP THE GUIDEBOOKS

Friday, April 16
12-1:30pm EDT

Meet Stella at the library at your boutique hotel. With structure and encouragement, she will guide you through discerning what is alive for you, and what “musts” or “shoulds” have snuck into your luggage. The end product is a heavily edited list, and the feeling that everything that remains is essential, meaningful, and aligned.  (This session will not be recorded. Why would you watch other people doing their work?)

# 3 MEET AT THE CAFE

Friday, April 23
12-1:30pm EDT

Once you’ve decluttered your agenda and had a think about what you want in the future, we’ll all meet at a café in the old city in our collective imaginations again, to talk about what we found, check our maps, and toast our discoveries. Maybe you’ll decide to write your own guidebook of what you want to see, do, and experience in the next chapter of your work. Maybe you’ll say “I want help – so I only do what gets me the future experience I desire, and ignore everything else. It’s time!”– in that case, we have some great guides to assist you. (Yes, this session will be recorded.)

BONUS

Writing Salon with Stella:
“Take Stock”

Friday, April 9
12-1pm EDT

The time is ripe to notice where we are, and what’s going on. That sounds so basic, and yet so much is changing and in flux. Join Stella for this guided journaling session to connect with yourself. Often, what we write will surprise us with its truth and insight. Bring a journal or what the Shut Up And Write gang calls a “big ass sketch book” (Stella likes the Strathmore Sketch 9x12 400 series recycled), and your sense of curiosity. Oh, and snacks. Bring snacks.

3-part workshop & bonus: $70 USD

We know that not everyone who wants or needs this work wants to DIY. If you are at a point where you want a map forward for your business, but don’t have the patience or desire for a group workshop, email hello@lasperegrinas.org to set up a time to speak with us about what you’re looking for and explore how we can be of service.
