This can be a dirty word especially for entrepreneurs and bless our hearts we sure have a lot of them!
We expect that clients will pay on time and when they don’t we are surprised, disappointed,… (insert any and all other emotions.)
We expect that our launch will blow the doors off and when it doesn’t we beat ourselves up, blame our “target market” for not being the right one… on and on.
We expect that everyone will respond to what we write in our newsletter with love and grace and when they have something else to say we beat ourselves up and feel badly about our message.
I could go on.
To be an entrepreneur you have to believe in hope and possibility or you wouldn’t even try. That’s what makes us special. We are some of the most optimistic people on the planet and thank goodness we exist. We are the forward thinking, chance taking, creators of anything new! We stand for progress and inspiration!
But there is a dark side. We often times get our possibilities (and feelings) hurt when it doesn’t work out the way we had envisioned it.
As we step into 2020 I encourage all of you big hearted possibility beauties to remember that the world needs you and your hope. Try not to take the disappointments to heart and keep shooting for the moon.
It would be a pretty boring world if you stopped taking those chances.
